I want to share with you my experience in Hosting Services running Coppermine and some frequently asked questions and it’s answers.
Coppermine Photo Gallery is well knowed for working perfectly on low requirement servers. So, would work with any decent web hosting service.
Despite that, I’ve installed and managed galleries in some Hosting Companies that REALLY makes things work faster and better!
FAQ 1 – ¿What are the requirements to run CPG?
Good webserver (Apache recommended).
PHP (4.2.0 or better).
MySQL (3.23.23 or better; 4.x recommended).
GD or ImageMagick.

FAQ 2 – If I type “Coppermine Hosting” on Google I get some hostings services with “Coppermine Auto Installers” offers. ¿It’s faster that way, right?
NOT AT ALL! Despite the fact that you would install Coppermine with ‘only a pair of clicks’ the only you will get for sure are problems and a gallery that in most of the cases, will not work accordingly!
If you do a quick search on Coppermine Support Forum you will easly notice that we are NOT FOND auto installer. (CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO). So, in conclusion, as stated on documentation, there is NO SUPPORT if you use an Auto Installer. Means, NO SUPPORT.
Side Note: If you search on Google “Coppermine Hosting” you will be persuaded by the “One Click Coppermine Installation” offer. In that same click, you would be ignored in our support forum till you make a upgrade. Of course, we want to help you! If you have already installed Coppermine with some auto installer, you would be asked to do an update and then, you would be helped! But if you haven’t bought your web hosting yet, is not a bright idea to go for a service that offer Auto Installers!
